This Project started out as a one week substance painter course and unfortunately it did not turn out great the first time. But with feedback, a polished vision and a stubborn mind i was determined that this project was worth finishing. Now i am happy to present it in Unreal Engine!
.
It was so much fun challenging myself to capture the magical vibe of the stylised concept in a more semi realistic textured 3D piece. However if I did it again (again) i would probably plan it out a bit more ahead of and also make a lot of the pieces, especially the bricks, modular for the sake of optimisation. And i will take those lessons with me to my future environment Projects.
.
I also loved making the colored windows. In the slideshow I explain more in depth how I did the realtime colored shadows using blueprints. But the result is that the shadows are easily adjustable to the light and of course it reacts in realtime to open doors!

The concept made by (Angevere) Ona Kristensen is part of "The Seeker's Guide to Twisted Taverns" published by Ghostfire Games.
